RedactIt
A milestone for us: RedactIt is the first piece of software we built for a single client and then released generally — because the problem it solved turned out to be a problem shared by an entire profession.
RedactIt lets lawyers take advantage of public AI tools without exposing client confidences. It detects and reversibly pseudonymizes the sensitive details in a legal document — names, parties, and identifiers — entirely on the user's own machine. The sanitized text can be shared with any online service, then the original information is restored locally in a single step. Built for one firm's confidentiality needs, it is now available to any practice with the same concern.
